    About the NVIDIA Control Panel
    Welcome to the NVIDIA Control Panel, designed for Microsoft Windows operating systems. You can use NVIDIA Control Panel to control your NVIDIA hardware and access other NVIDIA software installed on your system.

    Overview
    In addition to setting up basic display configurations such as display resolution, refresh rate, and multiple display use, you can:
    - Tune your 3D settings with real-time preview to maximize performance or image quality
    - Customize how 3D applications work in your system
    - Adjust your screen colors and contrast
    - Set custom timings
    - Control video image settings
    - Change your HDTV format
    - Control special workstation features such as Frame Synchronization.

    Note: The NVIDIA Control Panel can be viewed with a desktop DPI scaling set to a maximum of 250%. Setting the DPI higher than 250% may result in some content getting cut off from view.

    Changes in Release 387
    - Help Menu - added debug option. Selecting this option removes all overclocking performance and power settings.

    Supported Operating Systems
    NVIDIA Release 387 Graphics drivers are available for the following Microsoft Windows operating systems:
    - Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit Editions
    - Windows 8 32-bit and 64-bit Editions
    - Windows 8.1 32-bit and 64-bit Editions
    - Windows 10 32-bit and 64-bit Editions

  • This edition of Release Notes describes the Release 387 family of NVIDIA graphics drivers (versions 387.xx to 389.xx) for Microsoft Windows 7 and later. NVIDIA provides these notes to describe performance improvements and bug fixes in each documented version of the driver.

    What’s New in Version 387.92 WHQL
    Game Ready Drivers provide the best possible gaming experience for all major new releases, including Virtual Reality games. Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix is included for the best gameplay on day one.

    Game Ready
    Provides the optimal gaming experience for Middle-earth: Shadow of War, The Evil Within 2, and Forza Motorsport 7.

    Game Ready VR
    Provides the optimal gaming experience for ARKTIKA.1.

    New Features
    - Added support for OpenGL 4.61
    - Added NVIDIA GameStream support for HDR under Windows 10: See “Open Issues in Version 387.92 WHQL” on page 17 for a description of bug 200349552 that affects this feature.
    - Added Fast Sync support for SLI
    Fast Sync under SLI is available only on the following 'bridged' SLI configurations:
    • NVIDIA Maxwell GPUs: Any resolution less than 4k
    • NVIDIA Pascal & later GPUs: Any resolution
    - Implemented improved behavior for full-screen Vulkan swapchains using VK_KHR_win32_surface. This optimization will cause more events that trigger an out-of-date swapchain, such as when entering or leaving full-screen mode (typically by pressing Alt+tab). Applications that do not properly respond to the VK_ERROR_OUT_OF_DATE_KHR return code may not function properly when these events occur. See the WSI Swapchain section of the Vulkan specification.
    - Added support for the DirectX Intermediate Language (DXIL)
    - Includes full support for DirectX 12 Shader Model 6.0, features such as Wavemath, and the DirectX Shader Compiler.
    - Supported only on NVIDIA Kepler and later GPUs.

    Application SLI Profiles
    Added or updated the following SLI profiles:
    - Earthfall
    - Lawbreakers
    - Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
    - Nex Machina
    - ReCore
    - RiME
    - Snake Pass
    - Tekken 7
    - The Evil Within 2
    - We Happy Few

    3D Vision Profiles
    Added or updated the following 3D Vision profiles:
    - Middle-Earth: Shadow of War - Not recommended

    3D Compatibility Mode Profiles 2DD
    These games must be run in DirectX 10/11 mode to see improvements and are not compatible with 3D Vision Surround mode. See “3D Compatibility Mode” on page 12 for more information.
    Added or updated the following compatibility mode profiles:
    - Nex Machina - Excellent
    - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice - Excellent
    - ARK: Survival Evolved - Excellent
    - F1 2017 - Excellent
