• This edition of Release Notes describes the Release 396 family of NVIDIA Quadro, NVSTM, Tesla, and Quadro Notebook Drivers for Microsoft Windows 7 and later. NVIDIA provides these notes to describe performance improvements and bug fixes in each documented version of the driver.
  
  Changes in Version 397.64
  The following sections list the important changes and the most common issues resolved since driver version 397.31.
  
  Fixed Issues in this Release
  - Event Error 14 appears in the Windows Event Viewer when booting into Windows.
  - GDI objects increase every time an application queries NVAPI.
  - [Windows 10]: Driver may get removed after the PC has been left idle for an extended period of time.
  
  Open Issues in Version 397.64 WHQL
  As with every released driver, version 397.64 WHQL of the Release 396 driver has open issues and enhancement requests associated with it. This section includes lists of issues that are either not fixed or not implemented in this version. Some problems listed may not have been thoroughly investigated and, in fact, may not be NVIDIA issues. Others may have workaround solutions.
  
  Discontinued and Unsupported Features
  Discontinued Support in this Release
  - 32-bit Operating Systems: Beginning with Release 396, NVIDIA is no longer releasing drivers for 32-bit operating systems for any GPU architecture.
  - NVS 310/315: Beginning with Release 396, the NVIDIA driver no longer supports the following NVS products NVS 315 and NVS 310
  - Quad-Buffered Stereo: Beginning with Release 396, the NVIDIA Professional Drivers for Windows no longer supports select quad-buffered stereo features. See the NVIDIA Knowledge Base Article for details.
